Why “The Starlit Willow”

The meaning behind my business name is a little chaotic and kind of thrown together, but fits very well, in my opinion.

Originally my business name was Star Struck Creations (AKA S.S. Creations). Which if you say that out loud, it’s a bit of a tongue twister. After working under that name for a few years, I decided to rebrand with something a little more Whimsical.

Both names were chosen with the first letters of the words being my initials (My maiden name S.S. and my married name S.W.) so that was important to me. Then I just thumbed through the dictionary and brainstormed some different words that worked well together. I wanted to have something that could be a whimsical artsy brick and mortar store eventually. That’s the ultimate goal here!

Eventually I landed on The Starlit Willow, I love stars and nature in whole, but my married last name actually has a meaning of Willow so tada! I’ve mulled over shortening it to SW art or going by Starlit Willow Art, but have stuck with The Starlit Willow.

What name would you have named my art business if you had to choose? Would it be better if it was shorter?
