What fills my cup up?
Throughout the day, everything drains you, little bits at a time or large portions all at once. We need something to refill that cup or we won’t have anything left!
I am one of the worst people about keeping up with refilling my cup, I will go days with giving my energy, time and brain power and not taking anything back. But this year, I am trying to be intentional and make time for myself and to refill my cup.
Some of the things that I do to refill my cup are just being outside sitting on our deck, taking walks, gardening (even though its work, its fulfilling and refilling), camping, meditating and painting just for me.
I’ve seen a few creators online that do different art therapy pieces and I really really want to try them. Art is absolutely therapeutic, but depending on what it is, can sometimes be absolutely draining. So its a balancing act, do fun things, but also get what you need to done.
Today, I have written a list of things that I want to get done every month and have worked it out to be able to schedule what I’m doing every night instead of making that decision when I sit down and then an hour into “working” on art, I haven’t gotten anything done.
